Penzance Town Is a busy Cornish seafront town in West Cornwall, a coastal town with lots of history with lots of places to visit and things to do.Plenty of great places to stay, restaurants to dine out and great places to eat, takeaways, fish restaurants, and Marazion beach within walking distance of the town.
Penzance’s town name has come from the Cornish word Pen Sans, which means Holy headland, a large chapel once stood on the end of the point to the west of the main harbour dating back many years ago.
Penzance harbour front and marina is definitely the centre of activity at all times, its a large harbour with a repair floating harbour, lots of boats from small watercraft to large yachts lots to see and do, and backed up by some great places to eat.
Penzance town’s seafront is a Victorian promenade, the general shopping is good, with tucked-away little shops, the main Penzance route through the town is where you will find most shops.
